Jim Vanderberg

Jim Vanderberg, a Wisconsin native, made a name as a race car driver. His parents immigrated to Canada when they were children. His grandparents worked as candy makers in Eastern Europe and used their skills to make their way to Canada. After they settled in Canada, they started a business. The family purchased land with maple trees and began making maple sugar. This business eventually grew to be a major industry in Eastern Canada.

Jim Vandenberg enjoyed life. He was a past president of the Williamsville Fire Department, served as a truck driver and pump operator, and married Mary Gladstone Vandenberg on July 22, 2006. Jim and Mary enjoyed playing golf and traveling together. They often traveled to Branson, MO, and South Dakota. They loved hunting and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Jim was also a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). His grandchildren were his life, and he loved to watch them play games and watch movies.

Jim was born in Eastern Europe. His grandparents owned a small farm where they grew maple trees. The business was eventually sold, but Jim continues the family tradition of harvesting maple syrup each year to make maple candy. In the 2020s, Jim left his corporate job and became a full-time maple syrup candy maker. Jim Vanderberg currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
